love the site..just wanted to let you know that i was raised on early genesis..ie peter gabriel era..my father saw the lamb at the Palace Theatre in Albany New York dec.11,1974..i have the american program that was handed out at the show and also a full tickect as my father had bought so many that he couldnt find anyone to take the last one..30 yrs later on dec 9 2004..the musical box did their recreation of the show..we both attended and were amazed..just wanted to share my love of everthing lamb related or at least peter gabriel related..my father passed away a year after our adventure of seeing the musical box...i have since passed this musical tradition to my daughter, who accompanied me to see peter gabriel this summer with the new blood orchestra..she is the 3rd generation in a family of gabriel/early genesis fans..thank you for this site and the time machine it contains...

Cool site to visit,we've been fan's since the 80's. I dont think genesis will ever get the prop's they deserve. They are a thinking mans band along with floyd, yes, elp, crimson, parsons, the message is there, often hidden in a lyric but if you listen well you'll find it and when you do you'll see the world in a different light...

I am an Japanese Genesis fan.

You know the song Afterglow in Genesis album "WIND & WUTHERING" of course.
Tony Banks mentioned this song in DVD "GENESIS SONGBOOK".
The man in the song who is in despair on the rubble.
He was hit by disaster, lost his family and house.

We Japanese was hit by huge earthquake on March 11th in this year.
The southwest district in Japan is similar to the situation of the song.

I make a suggestion that Genesis re-record the song as the charity.
I also make another suggestion that Genesis fan all around the world play the song and upload on Youtube with message.

I want to spread this suggestions.

I am not good at English.
I hope that you can understand what I mean.

As a young teenager i got to see Genesis perform The Lamb twice on the same tour. The first show was in November a bit before the album was even released. The next time was later in Feb. after I had devoured the album. This band and this album has been a big part of my creative life. Nice museum website. TY

I am aware of a track by PG called "Why Don't we" only performed live a couple of times in USA in 1977.
I've seen it on a bootleg LP on Ebay a couple of times but I no longer have a turntable. Any chance of making it available on your site? Thanks, Paul.

So many goodies, so little time! I've been coming here off and on for the past several years. Even though tapes and CDs aren't quite as collectable, I have some from the PG era. One of the FGTR reissue tapes is already here. I even have a pirate of Genesis Live from Italia with an 1980 cover.
When I get my own scanner, I'll send JPGs. The picture I put in is of a multi-disc bootleg. Do you do those, or just official material? How about solo? Some things I missed out on, like original EU CDs of Trespass, Nursery Cryme, and Mike Rutherford's first solo album Smallcreep's Day. I like things to appear at a shop or sale rather than go online, you know. I'm addicted to imports!
Thanks for having this site.

An unbelievably FABULOUS WEBsite !!
I LOVE IT !! I am a huge Genesis fan and I am in AWE of the material you have here. The posters, the tickets, are just incredible. I would like to inquire about a Genesis website that I can no longer find and was wondering if you knew of it's whereabouts? The thing I remember most about it was that it chronicled Genesis' tour dates from the "EARLY DAYS" from 1969 and beyond. It listed where the band played every month and every day for every year. Do you recall the website I am talking about and what has happened to it. It was "GoldMine" of information about Genesis, the band, the albums, the dates and their touring history. It contained a chronological list of events and concerts from 1969 and beyond. If you could help me locate that site, I would be VERY GRATEFUL!! Thank you. Sincerely, Bob Nylund (A TRUE GENESIS LOVER, as I saw them perform in New Jersey at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic during the early 1970's....Please write back !! Thank you again for such INCREDIBLE MEMORIES !

Hi all -

Just wanted to check in here - I'm a 46 year old Genesis fan from Florida. I spent most of my life living near NYC and have been to over 40 Genesis shows but never so PG w/ them. I have collected many bootleg tapes/records over the years and recently purchased a DVD of Gabriel-era shows. Finally I get to see what I have been only dreaming about for so many years.

Ted

Rip:
Hey Ted,
Where did you pick up the DVD from? I'd love to see it.
Rip

Dave:
I can tell you that this guy is a nut bag over Genesis. I spent way to many hours in a dorm room with Ted playing Genesis and PG over and over again. He organized a trip 2 hours away to Detroit where we were exposed to this great band. We sat in the 12th row and it was awesome!!
