The Best of Genesis US Buddah 1976 catalog number BDS 5659-2. 2LP repackaging of Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot.


8 Track Version
The special price repackaging of Nursery Cryme / Foxtrot on US Charisma 1979 catalog number CA-2-2701. An extremely rare American Forces Radio LP version exists catalog number P-18458 from July 1979, possibly one of a kind.
Brazil only compilation to support the 1977 Brazilian tour. An extremely strange photo, track selection,  and title 'In Concert' with no live tracks. Fountain of Salmacis, Can Utility, Dancing Out, Ripples, I Know What I Like, Stagnation. Catalog Number 404.7086. Also available with a hard to find light label, possibly promotional.

Austrian Wind & Wuthering album 1977 with a dramatic variation on the cover. Catalog number PH 6859 309. Possibly the rarest official Genesis album.

The only reason this one isn't worth more is typically people don't know what it is exactly. The quantities are pretty limited on this one.

Japanese only compilation 1978. Contains an 8 page booklet with various pictures, some quite good. Has The Knife, Musical Box, Watcher, Supper's Ready, I Know, The Lamb, Dance, Squonk, Ripples, 11th Earl, Special Way, Burning Rope, Follow You Follow Me. Catalog Number SFX-10061-2, and as with most Japanese LPs also a white label promo.
Italian 'Super Star' label SU-1004 original 'Kiosk' release 1981. Contains The Lamb, Musical Box, White Mountain, Carpet Crawl, The Knife, and Watcher.

This release contains an excellent Italian 'book' with 12 huge pages and superb early 1970s photos I have not seen anywhere else.

Was released with a blue label and a purple label.
The Canadian Box Set 1982. A cardboard black box with gold embossed autographs. Includes LPs from Selling England through Abacab including the black-vinyl Spot the Pigeon EP. Also included 3 photos, 2 posters (Lightbox, and Old Man), and I Know What I Like softcover book.

Limited edition of 2000 and pretty tough to find. No catalog number.
The Australian Box Set 1986. A green cardboard box with all LPs from Trespass through Duke plus the Mama tour video. Catalog number GEN BOX 1 on Virgin records.
The Scandinavian Box Set 1987. Includes LPs from Trespass through the Mama album. Catalog number 15-5887 on Virgin records.
Genesis: Il Rock De Agostini #61 Italian Vertigo 1985. Strange compilation including: Where the sour turns to sweet, The serpent, Illegal alien, Mama, No reply at all, Abacab, Behind the lines, Afterglow, & Follow you follow me. Catalog number 1123 124.
2 Great Pop Classics on Holland Vertigo 1987. Includes the complete Abacab and Genesis LPs in one package. Catalog number 832 176-1.
Turn It On Again released 1991 & 1992. A 'Best Of' compilation of tracks from 1981-1983 on the Vertigo label. Different countries include combinations of Mama (edited), Home by the Sea (edited), That's All, Illegal Alien, Turn it on Again, Paperlate, No Reply At All, Takin' It All Too Hard, Man on the Corner, Follow You Follow Me (Live), Abacab (Live), Turn it on Again (Live), Firth of Fifth (Live), & Misunderstanding (Live).

Some variations include Columbia 514 205-1 with different back cover, Argentina 29384 with smaller design on the front and Spanish story on the back, Guatemala 848-854-1 with white Vertigo label and slightly different back cover, and Holland 848-854-1 with colorful label.
A very rare Portuguese-only compilation from 1992 called 'Retrospective' on the Edisom label. Includes More Fool Me, The Lamb, IKWIL, Carpet Crawlers, Follow You Follow Me, Afterglow, Turn It On Again, Invisible Touch, In Too Deep, I Can't Dance, Jesus He Knows Me, & Hold on my Heart. Catalog number LPRO 1004.
